We think we've got our cover image now - we have a choice of two ideas so it's a case of waiting to see what the artwork is like when the freelancer has written the tutorial. In most cases we like the cover artwork to be something readers can create themselves in the magazine, so it has to look good, but also feel achievable too. Finding good cover images is a lot harder than it looks believe it or not, with lots of elements that have to be considered. Firstly you have to find an image that is not too similar to previous issues both in terms of topic as well as colour. Next you need an image that is striking and has an obvious focal point to drawer the reader in. Thirdly there's the issue of composition - do all the important elements of the image fit in the space given? Finally you have to consider whether the image has enough space to place text. It's an exhausting process that involves a lot of stropping, huffing and puffing and jaffa cakes. We always get there in the end though! We'd love to hear your thoughts and ideas for the cover of Photoshop Creative. What topics would you like to put on there and which types of images do you think would work well. Click this link and let us know what you think- http://www.pshopcreative.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?p=12872#12872

Hi everybody.I've just been catching up on the latest gossip on the Photoshop Creative forum and it's struck me how useful it is for gathering ideas. We often refer to forum users comments in order to gather content for the magazine. Next week Issue 33 hits the shelves, which includes a group test on the latest wireless mice (mouses? How do you phrase that?!). This was born from a suggestion straight from the forum. We really value what our readers think, so please do get in touch on the boards and let us know what you'd like to see in the mag.Head to www.photoshopcreative.co.uk/forum and meet and greet the rest of the friendly bunch online. It's the perfect place to get ideas, show off your skills and also get speedy answers to your Photoshop questions. In fact I'd go as far as to say it's the fastest place to get answers in all the web-based land. So go on put them to the test!
