Although it is fantastic that digital cameras offer users the ability to shoot as many images as they need with no price constraints (unlike the old days of paying for a film to be processed). Of course, the downside of this is that you can have a heap of photos that need to be edited.

Auto Levels and Curves

To fix flat-looking images, head straight to the Adjustments menu and then pick Levels or Curves. We all know that these are powerful editing tools and enable you to fiddle with the tomes of your images to the nth degree. But do not overlook the cunning Auto button in the respective palettes (older versions of Photoshop have a dedicated Auto command from the Adjustments menu). One click of this will generally sort your images out a treat!
