Create a wanted poster - tutorial excerpt

Fed up with people thinking they can wantonly break the laws of the household and get away with it? Bring them to justice by exposing their crimes with your very own wanted poster. With the correct reward on offer it can not only be fun but practical too; someone is sure to snitch with the prospect of a chocolate-based reward on the cards.

Why not revisit your childhood and indulge in a bit of nostalgia by making your own aged paper to scan and use in Photoshop? Or if you don’t fancy getting your hands dirty (oh go on, it’s good fun!) we’ve included a paper texture for you on the CD. It’s been artificially aged using the good old tea bag staining method, with some strategic tearing and crumpling to make it look nice and tattered.

We’ll be putting Photoshop’s many tools and functions to good use. Gradients, layer styles, Gaussian blurs, blending modes and much more will all be needed to aid you in your worthy crime-fighting cause. So put on your Stetson and let’s get to work.
