Upgrade time…

I’ve just had CS4 installed on my Mac here in the office and what a difference it makes. I’ve made the jump from Photoshop CS2 to CS4 and I can’t believe how much of a difference there is between the two versions. The main difference is the speed. With all the image adjustments incorporated into the main interface, I think my mouse wondering what’s going on! It’s such a subtle thing but reducing the mouse movement saves so much time! It’s also mega smooth too. Magnifying image parts is so slick that I find myself doing it for the sake of it! It makes Cs2 look so juddery in comparison. It’s quite amazing to think how fast technology evolves – we were once marveling over  CS2 and who knows what we’ll be working with in 10 years time. For those who haven’t had a look yet, then check out the demo of CS4 at www.adobe.com. No doubt it will promptly be added to the top of your Christmas wish list!

I’m currently using CS2 which is a result of years of upgrade purchases. I think I’m going to bite the bullet this holiday season and buy the new CS4. Best wishes and thanks for the feedback on the new platform

I have been using CS2 since it made it’s first appearance, but am at the stage where I am taking more and more photos. I am an Invalid Pensioner, and follow your magazine voraciously. My only complaint is that, to my way of thinking, there are not enough CS2 Tutorials. I realise you need to cater to the larger community, but my pension has permanently restricted me from upgrading. So, in this light, would it be possible to run a couple more Magazine Tutorials to cater to the CS2 users out here. Apart from that, kudos to you, the magazine is AWESOME!
