There are times when dealing with the finer details of a project that you absolutely need to zoom in and work at nearly a pixel by pixel level. The problem with this is that you have to zoom back out to see how your edits impact the overall design. This can lead to a lot of zooming in and out that wastes time and energy. So here’s a better approach. Open the Arrange menu (it’s located to the right of the regular menus. Look for an icon that resembles the panels of a comic strip) and select New Window. Choose the 2-Up arrangement to display the windows side by side. These will be two views of the same document. Zoom in on one for your detail work and leave the other at a full view to get an idea of the overall image. You can see your edits automatically update in both windows as you work.
