Photoshop CC users can take full advantage of their memberships and gain access to these new tools that have been announced as of today

New features for Photoshop CC users, announced by Adobe today, expand the creative possibilities for 3D and 2D artists printing and designing artwork.

3D printing

3D is now a bigger part of Photoshop CC, giving you the ability to send objects created with the 3D Modelling tool, or imported from a 3D scanner, to a 3D printer or online service.

(Updated – 10am, 16 Jan 2014) For creatives, the new 3D printing includes an automated mesh repair, accurate previews and a support structure generation, making sure 3D models are the best they can be before sending to print.

Photoshop CC is now compatible with desktop 3D printers including MakerBot Replicator, with support for 3D printing community and marketplace Shapeways.

3D models can be published using the Sketchfab 3D service and also be embedded into Behance profiles using the service’s interactive 3D viewer.

Perspective Warp tool

The Perspective Warp tool is new to Photoshop CC and makes matching the placement of two or more layers more intuitive.

Linked Smart Objects

Also announced as a new addition to Photoshop CC is the ability to link Smart Objects across two Cloud applications, such as Illustrator and Photoshop. This enables two or more artists to work on one design element at the same time across a network.

Last year Adobe reached over 1.4 million Creative Cloud members, with nearly a million colour schemes shared via its Kuler app.
