There’s been an amazing eight times as many projects entered compared to last year’s Annual
The Shortlist Winners of Creativepool’s 2016 Annual and Awards are out, and this year there’s an amazing reflection of the global creative community found on Creativepool. Excitingly, the public can decide who they want to win in each category, with the People’s Choice votes.
Annual Shortlist Winners
Among many others, the shortlist sees the likes of MullenLowe London, 72andSunny Amsterdam, and BBH New York up for consideration. It’s not just big names that are featured though, as the shortlist also features a raft of fledgling companies, studios, agencies and individuals, all of whom have made a huge impact on the creative community in the last year.
The Annual’s categories represent work from twenty-one distinct creative disciplines including Out-of-Home advertising, 3D (Sponsored By Taylor James), Photography (Sponsored By Stutterstock), Typography ( Sponsored By Monotype), Production (Sponsored By Shadowplay), Application, branding (Sponsored by Creative Translation), Experiential and more. Tension and competition are going to be running high this year – there are only four winners per category, including one winner of a community-voted People’s Choice Award, and three winners as decided by an all-star judging panel featuring Peace for Paris Illustrator Jean Jullien, Google Creative Lab’s Creative Lead Tom Seymour, Havas Worldwide’s Head of Technology & Innovation Michael Olaye, and Nick Bell, Executive Creative Director at Fallon among others.
Along with the Annual Shortlist winners, there are load of other names from the global creative community battling it out in their respective fields, in 2016’s Creativepool Awards. The Newcomer of the Year nominees includes Graphic Designer Dan Lawrence, Production Designer Blair Barnette and Editor Charlie Moreton and others. Influencers of the Year nominees include leaders like Simon Shaw: Chief Creative Officer at H K Strategies, Laura Gregory: Founder at Great Guns, Jonathan Sands: Chairman of Global Brand Consultancy at Elmwood, Annette King: CEO at Ogilvy & Mather, Suzanne Stahlie: Managing Director at FutureBrand, David Birkitt: Founder at DMB among many others. Nominated Agencies for the Agency of the Year category, which is sponsored by Serendipity recruitment, include Wieden Kennedy, jones knowlesritchie, SNASK, B-Reel, Intermarketing Agency and more.
Winners are decided by both the Creativepool community and a panel of industry experts, featuring judges including Kerrie Finch, Founder at FinchFactor, David Poole, Group Creative Director at Love Group, David Gioiella, Partner & CD at Northern Lights, Sandra Soskic Co-CEO at DDB & Tribal Worldwide, Amsterdam and more.
People’s Choice Voting
There’s a chance for you to get involved too! People’s Choice voting is now open until midnight on Friday 19th February. People can vote quickly and easily straight from the shortlist, by hitting ‘VOTE’ underneath the project or person that they want to get into this year’s Creativepool Annual. The Shortlist winners also receive support from Creativepool’s Media Partner Imagine-Publishing. People can only vote once per category, though, so choose wisely!
