Here’s a quick fix to add emphasis to the eyes in portrait images

This is a simple technique and also one that can be done in a number of ways. We’re using the Sponge tool rather than reaching for an adjustment layer.
With the Sponge tool selected, set its Mode to Saturate in the Options bar. This will increase the colour of whatever is clicked on.
Set the Sponge tool’s Hardness to 0% and choose a brush size that covers the whole area of the eye (use [ or ] to change the size).
Now click over an eye two, three, four, or as many as is needed, to boost the colour. Keep count of the numbers of clicks, and repeat this for the other eye.
