If you’ve downloaded Photoshop CS6 Beta, you may (or may not yet) have noticed that the Filter menu has had a bit of a reshuffle
If, like us, you’re used to seeing the Artistic, Sketch, Brush Strokes and other filter groups in this menu, but are surprised that they’re no longer visible, you can bring them back in the Preferences menu.
For Mac users, go to Photoshop>Preferences>Plug-Ins. For Windows, Preferences is found in the Edit menu. Inside Plug-Ins, the option to ‘Show all Filter Gallery groups and names’ will reveal the Filter menu as it appears in CS5 and earlier Photoshop.
Adobe’s thinking? Perhaps it was to consolidate all of the painterly and special effects filters out of the way and in the Filter Gallery – who knows!
