Photoshop’s Filter Gallery comes in handy for adding frames to designs for that stylish finish

On a flattened version of your design (or on a photo), use the Rectangular Marquee tool to mark a selection around the edges of your image for the border.

Add a new layer mask to apply this selection to your design and to mask away the edges outside the selection area.

Go to Filter>Filter Gallery and from here try out various filters to change the style of the edges. This was is Water Paper.

When the filter is applied, check out the new border by adding a black or white layer underneath.
