The Color Balance adjustment in Photoshop is used for correcting (or offsetting!) colours in an image depending on the lighting situation
Open Color Balance from Layer>New Adjustment Layer and click on the word Midtones to open a drop-down containing Shadows and Highlights. See what kind of effect you can create by adapting all three, instead of just Midtones which is its default.
Here’s a before/after of this image – the after has had the Highlights and Shadows adapted and the final image is warmer and moodier.
