A shortcut that’s worth knowing when using blend modes

A shortcut that could shave possible minutes off your editing workflow is the Shift key used with -/+.

What these do is actually flick down the blend modes list for any given layer, so you don’t have to go to the Layers palette each time.

    A super short-cut. But I can’t make it work. I am using CS4, so the question is, is the short-cut compatible with CS4 or only later versions?

    Hi John – this is compatible with CS4 (if not all versions of PS). In the example above, the background layer was duplicated beforehand.
