Photoshop Tip: Edit in the CMYK Color Mode

To print or not to print? Whichever one you end up doing, set your Color Mode to the right one

Before starting to design a new piece of artwork, it’s worth predetermining its final resting place.

This could be simply for viewing the image on a screen, with no intentions for printing whatsoever. If this is the case then use RGB Mode in the New menu.

If you can visualise the artwork as a stunning printout one day, then set the Mode option in the New menu to CMYK, to reduce the chances of colourful surprises on paper.
