Save a paths in Photoshop

Whenever you use the Pen tool, a path is stored in the Paths palette (Window>Paths).

New paths are automatically entered as a Work Path layer, but aren’t saved.

To be sure to keep a path in the palette after closing down your image, double-click on its layer and hit Save Path and then store your image as a PSD.
