Photoshop Tip: Nudge selections pixel by pixel

When you make a selection using the Marquee tools it can often be difficult to get the selection in the right place

Use the arrow keys to nudge a selection one pixel at a time, and this can be increased to ten pixels by holding Shift.

Hold the Space bar while drawing out a selection to move it to a new location.

  • Great tip, I always forget that Shift shifts by 10 with the marquee. Could I be cheeky and add that Ctrl / Cmd when making a marquee draws from the centre. Something like your marquee above I find easier that way.
