Photoshop Tip: Patch tool with Feathering

Tears and scratches on an old photo can be repaired using the Patch tool and Feathering
To avoid obvious lines, select the Patch tool set to Source and mark a selection around the scratch.
Add a small amount of feathering to this selection by going to Select>Modify>Feather (such as 6 pixels).
This softens the edges of the selection and helps avoid hard edges when patching.
