Control garish colour in old photos using Curves in Photoshop

On an old photo, load up the Curves adjustment from the Layer>New Adjustment Layer menu.
Inside its dialog box, change RGB to either Red, Green or Blue, depending on the most dominant colour in your image (in this case, Blue).
Click on the button that has the hand with arrows, and click and drag over a subject in a blue cast in a downward motion to decrease the colour.
Going the opposite direction will increase the amount of colour.
