When out and about taking photos for editing in Photoshop, consider the amount by which you crop

Shooting for Photoshop

If you’re taking a photo of an object or person, with the aim to cut them out using a selection tool, make sure there’s as little of the background in the image as possible.

It’s crucial to fit the subject tight to the edges of the frame as you take the photo, rather than crop down in Photoshop. This makes the most out of your camera’s resolution, and you’ll find that your cutouts will be large enough for comping into other high-res images.
