It’s Thursday – so here’s a Q&A…

final

The most important part of any painting is selecting the right brushes. the correct brush tips used with the Mixer Brush can do an amazing job on skin, hair and clothes. For skin use a Soft Round Brush and Oil Pastel Large No.63. The other two brushes that work perfectly on hair and clothes are Flat Angle Bristle Count and Round Curve Low Bristle Percent Brush.

To get perfect skin colour, merge all layers by Cmd/Ctrl+Opt/Alt+E then duplicate the same layer again. now go to Filters>Blur>Surface Blur. Once you are happy with the result, click OK then add a mask to erase any unwanted effect. Merge all layers then duplicate it again. go to Filter>Sharpen>Unsharp Mask. To get vivid colour use Colour Balance, Selective Colour and Vibrance adjustment layers.

  • Awesome tutorial. It’s very helpful and important. Thanks for sharing.
