Wood textures are great for enhancing your pictures, especially for something like a photo frame, but did you know that you can create your own in Photoshop and Elements?
Start selecting black and white in your Swatches and go to Filter>Render>Clouds; once you’ve applied the effect, stretch the layer length-wise (Cmd/Ctrl+T). Next, go to Image>Adjustments>Posterize, choose 12 levels and then head over to Filter>Stylize and pick the Find Edges filter.
Set this layer to Multiply and create a brown (#64381e) layer below. Duplicate your grain layer, invert (Cmd/Ctrl+I), set to Screen and nudge two pixels down and right.
