Selection Tip: Decontaminate Colors in Photoshop

A selection is rarely perfect the first time round. Here’s a tip for removing colour pixels seeping into the cutout

Decontaminate colours

Once a selection has been made, head to the Refine Edge command under the Select menu.

At the bottom of this is the option to Decontaminate Colors. This will reduce the amount of colour overflow from one area to another.
