Did you know that you can store up to five sampled areas with the Clone Stamp tool?

Clone Source palette

The Clone Stamp tool comes with a Clone Source palette, available from the Options bar, or in the Window menu.

Whenever you press Opt/Alt with the tool over a part of your image, those pixels are saved inside this palette.

Click on one of the five clone symbols in this palette to store up to five sampled areas when working on one image.

I can’t see the use in this, if you clone on a new layer so that you don’t detroy the original. I must be missing something?

  • This is something I was hoping would be or was available, just a matter of knowing it is there… thank you so much! Cheers, Jean
